A conversation with legendary Jefferson baseball coach John Lowery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jefferson head coach John Lowery recently sat down with Kyle Wiggs and Joe Brocato to discuss his baseball coaching career than has spanned over five decades. Lowery was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2023. He has won 1,458 games and a dozen state championships leading the Cougars.

Jefferson is the top-ranked Class AAAA team in this week’s MetroNews poll and they are off to a 16-2 start to the season.

Lowery stopped by the MetroNews studio on April 12 when the Cougars competed in the Mon County Classic.
