Man charged in Turnpike road rage incident

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — State police are investigating what they describe as a road rage case on the West Virginia Turnpike.

Troopers said Scott Walker, 22, of Winifrede, is charged with firing his handgun twice at a tractor trailer driver as the two were driving on the turnpike Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said the shots Walker fired at the truck driver hit near the driver’s side door. The truck driver, who is from Indiana, was not injured.

Walker turned himself in to state police. He’s charged with brandishing and wanton endangerment with a firearm.
