One arrested after VBS threat in Harrison County

WYATT, W.Va. — A 20-year-old man has been arrested after threatening a pastor in Harrison County.

State police said Xander Mouser got into a physical altercation with a juvenile, the juvenile’s mother and the pastor, Roy Clark, at Wyatt Church during a Vacation Bible School event June 19.

Mouser was removed from church property after the altercation and police were called to the scene.

Friday, Mouser continued the threat over social media telling the pastor,” the church building is going bye bye and die, die, die,” according to police.

Clark said the incident and threats has many in the congregation very afraid and some have expressed concern about attending the next Vacation Bible School event at the church.

Mouser is charged with threats of terrorist acts and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
