MORGANTON, W.Va. — Ross Hodge has added a key piece to his initial roster at WVU with Tuesday’s commitment from Amir Jenkins. Jenkins reclassified from the class of 2026 to join the Mountaineer roster for the 2025-2026 season.

Jenkins was set to play for Worcester Academy in Massachusetts this winter. He is a 6-foot-2 guard who holds over twenty Division I scholarship offers. According to On3 Sports, Jenkins was listed as the No. 2 recruit in Massachusetts.
Prior to arriving at Worcester Academy, Jenkins helped North High School to a pair of Massachusetts Division I state championships. In his junior season, North went 24-0.
