Victim identified in fatal hit-and-run in Greenbrier County

LEWISBURG, W.Va. –The woman who died in a fatal hit-and-run in Greenbrier County this past weekend has been identified

According to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, Miranda Gray, 24, of Charmco, was found along U.S. Route 60 near the community of Hines on July 27 at approximately 7:50 a.m.

Deputies believe Gray was walking westbound on the highway shoulder when she was struck by a 2015 Ford Focus travelling in the same direction. Authorities have a suspect in custody but have not released their name.

The investigation is ongoing. More information will be released upon its conclusion.
