Truck carrying cake mix crashes on I-79 in Harrison County, cleanup underway

LOST CREEK, W.Va. — Multiple agencies are on the scene of a tractor-trailer crash and cleanup on I-79 northbound in Harrison County.

Around noon a big rig reportedly carrying cake mix rolled onto it’s side spilling a significant portion of the cake mix cargo.

Reports indicate the driver was able to get out of the truck under his own power and is not injured.

Officials expect the cleanup to take most of the afternoon.

Firefighters from Anmoore, Jane Lew, Lost Creek, Bridgeport, Stonewood and West Milford, police from Bridgeport, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and, the state Division of Highways all responded to the scene.
