CROSS LANES, W.Va. – No injuries are reported following a fully-involved Saturday morning fire at an abandoned house in Kanawha County
The fire was reported just after 2 a.m. in the 5200 block of Big Tyler Road in Cross Lanes with the Tyler Mountain VFD responding along with assistance from the Nitro, Poca, and Institute fire departments.
Tyler Mountain VFD indicated the fire reignited Saturday evening and that because of structural collapse, crews were not able to access some parts of the house to fully extinguish the blaze. Fire personnel remained on the scene to monitor the scene as it burned under controlled conditions.
The cause of the fire has not been reported.
