UC-Beckley graduates its first class

More than 150 students make up the first ever class of graduates from the University of Charleston-Beckley.  Those students received their diplomas during a ceremony Saturday in Beckley.

UC-Beckley was created after Mountain State University lost its general accreditation and shut down last December.

Graduation ceremonies were also held this weekend at Marshall University, West Liberty University, West Virginia State University and WVU Tech along with others.

Commencement activities will be held next weekend at West Virginia University.
