Standoff situation ends with one arrest in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — One person is in police custody after a standoff situation in Huntington.

It happened at a home near the intersection of Adams Avenue and 19th Street West early Friday night.

At around 7:45 p.m., police responded to reports of a shot being fired in an apparent domestic situation at the home.

A SWAT teamed ended up entering the home just before 9 p.m. and making an arrest. No one was hurt.

There was no word on what possible charges the man faces.
