Investigators working to determine cause of diesel spill in Ohio County

WHEELING, W. Va. — An accident which resulted in gallons of spilled diesel fuel on a roadway in Wheeling is under investigation.

According to Ohio County EMA, approximately 50 gallons left a 150 yard trail on McGraws Run Road Saturday afternoon.

The road was shut down as crews responded to the scene, cleaning up the spill with absorbent. It was reopened later Saturday night.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the spill as well as the damage.
