Water main break floods Kanawha County home

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A high-pressure water main burst, causing one home to flood in Kanawha County on Sunday morning.

West Virginia American Water Company crews were working to shut off the water that began leaking at a home in South Charleston at around 6 a.m.

U.S. Route 119 was temporarily shut down.

According to the South Charleston Fire Department, water was still rapidly shooting out as of 9 a.m. Water company officials said repairs were expected to last until 8 p.m.
