Ambulance wrecks on wet roads on Interstate 79

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — There were reportedly no patients on board a Jan-Care ambulance when it wrecked on wet roads in Monongalia County Thursday afternoon.

According to 911 officials the emergency vehicle crossed the median of Interstate 79 near the Goshen Road exit and rolled over into the left southbound lane.

The crash occurred just before noon near mile marker 147. There was no immediate information on injuries sustained in the crash.

Officials said a second accident with unknown injuries was being investigated nearby involving 2 cars.
