Harrison County man arrested after stabbing, threatening neighbors with bow and arrow

PINE BLUFF, W.Va. — The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a Pine Bluff man with malicious wounding after stabbing one of his neighbors and threatening others with a bow and arrow and a rifle Wednesday evening.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Jesse James Ketterman, 38, of Pine Bluff, went to a neighbor’s home around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening and stabbed a man.

That victim’s condition is unknown, but the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the injuries are not considered life-threatening. His name has not yet been released, but the victim is currently in United Hospital Center.

Following that incident, Ketterman went to another neighbor’s home and threatened to shoot the residents–two adults and two children–while carrying a bow and arrow and a rifle.

After a short stand off with police, Ketterman was taken into custody without further incident.

Chief Deputy Steve Johnson described Ketterman as “angry at everybody in that area.”

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.

Ketterman will be arraigned Thursday morning.
