Five arrested in past week on allegations of defrauding flood relief efforts

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — Law enforcement in Fayette County and Nicholas County have arrested a total of five people in the past week for fraudulently obtaining flood relief supplies.

On Friday, police arrested Debra Lynn Sizemore, 55, of Adena Village on a single charge of obtaining goods under false pretenses.

Sizemore allegedly obtained food, water, bedding, and cleaning supplies from the flood relief center in Nuttall earlier that week. Her home in the Adena Village area was not affected by the flooding.

One day later, two more individuals were arrested on allegations of defrauding flood relief in Fayette County–both from Ansted.

Steve Allen Neal and Bobbie Gene Woodrum, 25 were arrested Wednesday.

Two more suspects were located and arrested in Nicholas County over the weekend. Mount Lookout natives Rebecca Madolyn Grimmett, 40 and her boyfriend Timothy Allen Brown, 37 each face charges for misdemeanor count of obtaining money, goods, or services under false pretenses.

Investigations into other allegations remain ongoing.
