Former Point Pleasant OL Seth Stewart no longer at LSU

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Former Point Pleasant offensive line standout Seth Stewart is no longer a part of the LSU football program.

“Seth Stewart will not be reporting to camp,” said LSU head coach Ed Orgeron on Sunday. “He will not be attending Louisiana State University. As far as we know, he has decided not to play football. We don’t know that for sure, but I know that he will not be at camp. We wish him the best.”

Stewart signed with the Tigers back in February, picking LSU over offers from Arkansas, Louisville, Marshall, Pitt and West Virginia.

The 6-foot-9, 320 pound tackle had originally committed to Marshall prior to eventually switching to LSU.

Orgeron said Stewart enrolled with the other LSU freshman in June, before opting to depart.

“He spent a couple of days here and decided he wanted to move on,” Orgeron said. “Tried to get him back. (Offensive line) coach (Jeff Grimes) tried to get him back.”
