Princeton pastor charged in embezzlement case

PRINCETON, W.Va. — A former pastor at First Christian Church has been charged for stealing thousands of dollars from the organization.

West Virginia State Police say 48-year-old Christopher Stansell stole over $10,000 from the church in the past year and a half.

The investigation started in June.  Police say Stansell deposited several checks from the church into his personal banking account.

He has already been released on bond.  No further information is available as of Friday.
