The trial of Shelby Lee Chipps began Monday in Harrison County Circuit Court before a 12-member jury.
Chipps is charged with one count of child abuse resulting in injury, one count of child abuse creating substantial risk of death or serious injury, one count of conspiracy and one count of strangulation. She has pleaded innocent of all charges.
