Fairmont police investigate bank robbery

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Police in Fairmont are investigating a bank robbery of the BC Bank on East Park Avenue.

According to authorities, at 10:48 a.m. Monday a man entered the bank and demanded money and threatened workers with a weapon. The suspect left the bank on foot and possibly rode off on a red and white cruiser-style motorcycle in the direction of I-79.

The suspect is described as white, 40 to 50-years-old, 6-feet to 6-feet 2-inches tall, salt and pepper hair with a goatee, grey long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black Under Armour baseball cap, blue bandanna and tennis shoes.
