According to multiple reports, former Michigan cornerback Cullen Christian is transferring from from Michigan to Pitt. He will become the second player to transfer to Michigan since former head coach Rich Rodriguez was fired, the other was safety Ray Vinopal. Christian did consider coming to WVU, according to reports, but in the end decided he wanted to come closer to home. He played high school football at Penn Hills in Pittsburgh.
Christian – who just finished his true freshman season – will join three of his coaches from last season with Calvin Magee, Tony Dews and Tony Gibson. This makes a total of five players and coaches from last year’s Wolverines team that will be on this year’s panther squad. Last season, the 6-foot-1 cornerback played in ten games as a backup.
Coming out of high school, Christian was rated as a 4-star recruit by many recruiting services. He will have to sit out this upcoming season and will be able to play in 2012, he will have three years eligibility.
