No. 2: Collin Klein

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein is the No. 2 ranked player in the Big 12 Conference in the MetroNews preseason player rankings.

Klein is one of the top rushing quarterbacks in the nation. Last season, he ran for over 100 yards in five games and for over 92 yards in eight games.

His first collegiate start at quarterback was in 2010 against Texas, where he led the Wildcats to victory and rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns. His 127 rushing yards were the most by a quarterback in their first career start in school history.

He ended the 2011 season with 27 rushing touchdowns, 13 passing touchdowns, and only six interceptions. He threw for nearly 150 yards and ran for over 85 yards per game. Last season, Klein helped the Wildcats become one of the biggest surprises in college football going 10-3 overall and 7-2 in the Big 12.
