Home Invasion Case Goes To Grand Jury

Robbery charges against a former police officer will be considered by the Fayette County grand jury.

Scott Wills waived his preliminary hearing in Fayette County Magistrate Court Monday.

Wills, Michael Scarbro and Donald Naylor, all of Smithers, allegedly were part of a home invasion on Oct. 2 at an apartment in Smithers.

Wills and Naylor allegedly entered the apartment dressed like State Troopers and Naylor allegedly pulled a gun saying they were police officers.

All three suspects are charged with first-degree robbery, burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Wills, Scarbro and Naylor waived their preliminary hearings Monday. The magistrate did lower their bail from 100-thousand to 20-thousand dollars each.

Wills is a former Glasgow police officer. He was arrested earlier this year on a drug charge.
