WVU Shooters Remain No. 1

The West Virginia Mountaineer Rifle Team maintains a strangle hold on the nation’s top ranking.

West Virginia is ranked #1 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Poll for a fourth week following after a win this past weekend over #12 Navy. West Virginia posted a team score of 4613 against the Midshipmen on October 27th. The win elevated WVU’s season record to 5-0 and 2-0 in the GARC.

TCU is elevated to #2 in the poll. Kentucky dropped from #2 to #3. Jacksonville State is ranked 4th and Murray State moves up five spots to #5. Nebraska, Alaska-Fairbanks, Army, Memphis, and Nevada round out the top 10.

West Virginia is off this week and returns to the range on November 9th against #13 Ole Miss and then a home match on November 15th against NC State.
