Multiple marijuana grows found in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police discover multiple indoor marijuana grows in Parkersburg on Monday.

After receiving information regarding potential indoor marijuana grows, the State Police along with the Wood County Street Crimes Unit executed multiple search warrants on area residences which led to the discoveries.

Approximately 200 marijuana plants, 2 pounds of processed marijuana, and various equipment used for indoor marijuana grows were seized, according to a State Police release.

The release also stated that the operations were very elaborate as they utilized air filtration systems, fans, portable air conditioners, oxygen tanks, automatic timers, and surveillance systems.

In addition to the marijuana grows, authorities also found a meth lab in an alley near one of the residences.

An arrest in connection with the discoveries is expected to be made soon.
