Two charged with distributing heroin in Clarksburg

ELKINS, W. Va. — Two people have been indicted on drug crimes related to the distribution of heroin.

A federal grand jury in Elkins named Timothy Lamon Cavender, Jr., 25, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, and Holly Myers, 38, of Clarksburg, are charged with heroin trafficking.

Cavender was discovered in possession of heroin in December near Clarksburg and is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

Meanwhile, Myers is alleged to have repeatedly sold heroin throughout the month of August and is charged with three counts of distribution of heroin.

She faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000 on each count.

The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, is investigating both defendants.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan is prosecuting the cases on behalf of the government.
