Suspect sought in Monongalia County armed robbery

CHEAT LAKE, W.Va. — Monongalia County investigators search for a man who robbed a Cheat Lake convenience store.

A man armed with a pistol demanded cash from the clerk at BFS on Fairchance Road just after midnight Friday.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect is a white man who is approximately 5’6″ tall.

He was wearing khakis, gloves, a bandanna and other dark clothing.

There were no injuries.
