Wheeling Suspension Bridge closed after being struck by Greyhound bus

WHEELING, W.Va. — The state Division of Highways has closed the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge until further notice.

The bridge was damaged by a Greyhound bus attempting to cross it. The closure will allow inspectors the time and space to assess the damage.

The bridge, originally completed in 1849, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
