Jividen appointed to replace Ihlenfeld for now

WHEELING, W.Va. — A veteran federal prosecutor will be Acting U.S. Attorney in northern West Virginia until President-elect Donald Trump chooses a permanent replacement for U.S. Attorney Bill Ihlenfeld.

Betsy Jividen will replace U.S. Attorney Bill Ihlenfeld who recently announced his resignation.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office will be in good hands in the new year under the leadership of Betsy Jividen,” Ihlenfeld said in a statement released Thursday.  “She has a tremendous amount of experience with the office, both inside and outside of the courtroom, and the public will be well-served with her at the helm.”

Jividen has served as Acting U.S. Attorney once before.
