Man killed in McDowell County crash

BARTLEY, W.Va. – A 73-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday  in McDowell County.

The wreck happened around 11:00 a.m. on Country Route 83/1.

State police said the driver drove his white GMC Jimmy off the road and over an embankment, overturning in the Buck Fork stream. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released, but state police said he was a resident of McDowell County.
