Ohio man charged following Alderson Broaddus lockdown

PHILIPPI, W.Va. — A 21-year-old Ohio man is facing charges following a lockdown on the campus of Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi Monday.

Nathan Macek, of Guysville, Ohio, was arrested Monday for posting a photo with a gun that stated, “I’m going to shoot up AB.”

Macek admitted that he sent the photo Sunday about 3 p.m., but he said that he sent the photo to four of his friends as a joke.

Macek has been charged with one count of terroristic threats.
