Whitacre, No. 5 Frankfort roll to win over Philip Barbour

PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Class AA No. 5 Frankfort comfortably defeated Philip Barbour 14-1 on Monday night as Zack Whitacre came up a single short of hitting for the cycle.

Whitacre finished the game 3 for 3 with a home run, double and a triple, scoring three runs and collecting four RBIs. He also got the start on the mound, going two innings and striking out two.

Blake Wasson also hit a home run in the win for the Falcons (15-4), going 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Philip Barbour (5-11) was limited to just one hit in the loss.
