Re-scheduled Domer hearing set for Thursday morning

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The status hearing for a Martinsburg man accused of murder is scheduled to continue Thursday morning at the Berkeley County Courthouse.

It was not known Wednesday evening if 36-year-old Adam Lee Domer will appear at the hearing; he fell ill after the alleged carjacking incident last September.

Domer was transferred to a hospital in Morgantown, where it was reported he is paralyzed from the waist down.

The county said in November despite his diagnosis, they will continue to monitor him via ankle bracelet.

The woman Domer is accused of attacking, 86-year-old Joan Staubs, died because of serious head injuries suffered during an altercation.

Domer faces multiple charges including murder, malicious wounding and grand larceny.
