MetroNews This Morning 3-1-21

Flooding after heavy rainfall is widespread across West Virginia this morning–with streams from the coalfields to Preston County leaving their banks. Some of the most critical areas of high water this morning are still under a State of Emergency declaration from the February ice storms. Covid 19 numbers continue a downward trend in West Virginia, but it’s left hospitals in a difficult spot. The Governor says with the stimulus in Washington they need to “go big or go home” and the 60 day Legislative Session is now one-third over. In sports, college basketball is hitting the stretch run in West Virginia. Those stories and more in today’s MetroNews This Morning podcast.
