WVU gains verbal commitment from junior college defensive back

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVU has some more help on the way for their defensive backfield. Hutchison Community College product Caleb Coleman is the newest verbal commitment to join the Mountaineers.

The Smith’s Station, Alabama native played in seven games for Hutchison this spring. He intercepted three passes and collected twenty tackles, eleven of those were solo stops. The Kansas-based school is 7-0 and has advanced to the NJCAA title game on June 5.

Coleman received a scholarship offer from WVU on May 5. He also holds offers from Washington State and Western Kentucky. With a free season of eligibility this season, Coleman will have four years to play at West Virginia.
