Wrecks claim lives in Monongalia, Randolph counties

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Separate crashes have claimed lives in Monongalia and Randolph counties.

The deadly vehicle wreck in Monongalia County happened Monday afternoon in the 3 o’clock hour on U.S. Route 119 near the Monongalia-Taylor county line.

The crash in Randolph County happened Sunday on The Old Pike Road near Montrose.

The sheriff’s department says two people were ejected from a motorcycle and one died. The other person is hospitalized.
