Monongalia County fatal crash involved ATV

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — Authorities in Monongalia County have released more information about a fatal crash that happened Monday not far from the Taylor County line.

Deputies were called to Grafton Road (U.S. Route 119) near the intersection of Horseman’s Trail at 3:45 p.m., where a northbound vehicle was making a pass and hit an ATV head-on.

The ATV rider died at the scene.

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation.

Volunteers from the Triune-Halleck Fire Department, the Clinton District Fire Department, and Mon EMS assisted.

Witnesses to the accident are asked to call the Monongalia County Sheriffs Department at 304-291-7260.
