MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia Schools Athletic Coaches Association has announced their year-end award winners for coaches and administrators.
To be eligible for an award, a coach must join the WVSACA. Region Directors nominate eligible coaches and a committee picks the award winners.
The following administrators & coaches will be recognized by WVSACA at the annual North-South Football game Saturday:
- Scott Cochran (Doddridge County) – H.S. Principal of the Year
- Fred Sauro (Williamstown) – H.S. Girls Basketball
- Mick Price (Ravenswood) – H.S. Boys Basketball
- Daran Hays (North Marion) – H.S. Football
- Steve Nutter (St. Mary’s) – H.S. Cross Country
- Dwayne “Bubba” Hedrick (Petersburg) – H.S. Softball
- Julie Bradley (James Monroe) – H.S. Volleyball
- David Viands (Jefferson) – H.S. Athletic Director of the Year
- Andy Fletcher (Wheeling Park) – H.S. Track
- Gary Lanham (Barrackville) – Middle School Coach of the Year
