HINTON, W.Va. — A woman wanted in Virginia for felony narcotics-related charges was arrested Saturday in Summers County.
The Summers County Sheriff’s Department said a deputy responded to an alleged domestic disturbance near Fox Addition Road in the county. The deputy then met Cassondra Wood, 36, during the investigation.
As the investigation continued, deputies said they learned Wood was a fugitive from justice and was wanted by Virginia authorities. Authorities said Wood was brought into custody “without incident.”
Wood is in the Southern Regional Jail, pending extradition to Virginia.
