FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Two people are charged with child neglect resulting in death after an 11-year-old boy died this week in Marion County of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities have charged James Smock, 56, and Tammy Lee, 54. It’s alleged they owned the gun the boy used and the firearm was unsecured.
The boy died Monday.
Smock and Lee were arrested Wednesday.
