Hagerstown, Md. company breaks ground on Eastern Panhandle location

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. — State, local and national officials were on hand as a Maryland company broke ground on their new home in the Falling Waters Industrial Park Monday.

Countertop Solutions in Hagerstown and Earth Art Slab Studio in Williamsport will relocate to a combined manufacturing and retail space once it has been built sometime next year.

The owner of both of these businesses, Jason Singer, was joined by his family and some of his fellow workers, and spoke to a crowd of about 60 people about his excitement for the project.

“It’s been a fairly smooth process. I wish it has gone a little faster. But for the most part, al the entities have come together to help us and they’ve done a really good job.” Singer said after the ceremony.

Singer hopes that the move will also allow him to expand his work force for both businesses.

Congressman Alex Mooney was also present and spoke about in favor of the company’s relocation – saying the new jobs created will certainly benefit citizens of the Panhandle.

“Having CTS, Counter Top Solutions, come here from another state and add 22 jobs to our region is a great blessing.”

Singer hopes to get started with construction as soon as possible.
