Teenager identified as victim of West Side shooting in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A teenager has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting on Charleston’s West Side over the weekend.

Charleston Police Department said that officers found Laurina Blake, 18 of Charleston, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds near a vehicle on the 100 block of Lovell Drive just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Blake was transported to CAMC General Hospital where she died.

A white Nissan Rogue, where she was found lying next to sustained bullet damage, according to police. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Charleston PD said no arrests have been made. The possible suspect vehicle is a white SUV that left the scene following the shooting.
