Body Found In Summers County

State Police say they should know more within the next couple of days about how a Wyoming County man died.

Campers reportedly found the body of Jeffrey Shane Godsey, 34, off Bull Falls Road near Pipestem in Summers County on Saturday.

"It’s a body being found on the side of the road so, anytime you’ve got that, it’s suspicious," Sgt. T.L. Bragg told MetroNews.

He says investigators with State Police and the Summers County Sheriff’s Department have been able to track down some leads.

"Due to some associations that he’s had, they’ve taken some statements and some leads are coming in at this point," Sgt. Bragg said.

An autopsy on Godsey was scheduled for Monday.
