WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police have launched an investigation after two suspicious devices were found on a tugboat on the Ohio River.
Troopers found the devices Monday evening on a watercraft, which was located near Williamstown in Wood County. Multiple local, state and federal agencies assisted with the response efforts.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting with the investigation.
This is the second time authorities have found at least one suspicious device on a boat within the last week; Pleasants County authorities reported last Thursday another device was found on a barge carrying gravel.
