PHILLIPI, W.Va. — A Barbour County disturbance call ended with one arrest and the seizure of drugs, cash and weapons Sunday.
Deputies responded Sunday to the home on Route 20 and were told weapons were involved. At the scene, deputies made contact with James Golden, 60.
Authorities said Golden was arguing with an ex-girlfriend and her daughter and left the home. When Golden returned, he fired a weapon in the driveway, forcing the women inside to take cover while calling authorities.
Deputies said they saw marijuana and firearms in open view while gathering information from witnesses.
When deputies returned with a search warrant, they recovered nearly $3,000 in cash, seven weapons, scales, and about 7.6 ounces of marijuana.
Golden has been charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
