Weston man jailed on terroristic threat charges

WESTON, W.Va. Multiple agencies engaged in an arrest Sunday of a Lewis County man accused of making terrorist threats.

According to a release from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Chad Jordan, 47, of Weston, is accused of threats that involved “making devices” with intention of causing damage at “various locations.”

At this time, it is not clear what locations Jordan is accused of targeting or the exact nature or threat of the devices in question.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department took Jordan into custody without incident.

An initial tip went to FBI Clarksburg and was shared with law enforcement in Lewis County.

Lewis County Sheriff David Gosa also credited West Virginia State Police and West Virginia Natural Resource Police in the investigation.

Jordan is in the Central Regional Jail on $50,000.
