Arrest made in Charleston deadly stabbing

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Charleston police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly stabbing.

William Selbe, 25, of Charleston, was charged Wednesday afternoon with first-degree murder in the death of Nicholas Hodge, 35, also of Charleston.

The stabbing happened just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Go-Mart in Kanawha City.

Police said the stabbing was the result of an argument over money.

Hodge was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Selbe left the scene and was captured hours later at a nearby home.

The investigation is ongoing.
