Three houses damaged in Charleston fire

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Three houses sustained damage in a Thursday night fire on Charleston’s West Side.

The blaze was reported around 8:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Washington Street. Only one house was occupied and both people there got out safely.

The Charleston Fire Department is working to determine what started the blaze.
