Gold & Blue Lunch Report: Cornerback depth gets redonkulous

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — If you don’t already have plans for next Jan. 30, the SEC-Big 12 Challenge (or rather, the Big 12-SEC Challenge) has the Mountaineers basketball team playing Florida at high noon. Should be a blast, even without Billy Donovan’s Eddie Munster hairline. (OK, so color me jealous.)

Not into five-month waits? Well there’s some right-now action worth watching in the West Virginia secondary. Like more capable cornerbacks than Brian Mitchell could have imagined in one room. (Quick, dig up those 2012 game tapes for a hoot.)

It’s all in today’s edition of the Gold & Blue Lunch Report, where we greet the midday doldrums with hot dogs and officially-licensed mustard.
