MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Healthcare expansion in north central West Virginia could put more than a thousand people to work by early next year.

The 10-story, 114-bed additions is set to receive patients in January 2017.

Leading up to that, Deveran George, WVU Medicine Human Resource Manager, explained why the organization is looking for new hires now.

Monday, the organization is hosting an open interview event looking first for approximately 500 new workers.

“Folks can be interviewed on the spot for opportunities or even for those just wanting to learn more about a potential career with WVU Medicine, we’ll have folks there on-site to talk through that process,” added George.
