WEST UNION, W.Va. — Authorities are investigating the source of an explosion at the EQT Midstream Parterns’ Saturn compressor station in Doddridge County.

According to Central Communications 911 dispatchers, the call came in just after 7 a.m. Friday morning in the area of Central Station Road, which is between West Union and Greenwood. No injuries have been reported.

The facility was immediately locked down following the explosion. About 20 homes were evacuated, according to an EQT spokesperson. The evacuation order has since been lifted.

The company reports that all liquid remained in the concrete containment area, and there was no impact to groundwater sources or nearby streams.

“Everything’s been taken care of,” a dispatcher told WAJR Friday morning.

The explosion’s cause remains under investigation.
