PEIA public hearings are ahead for Morgantown, Martinsburg and Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Some of West Virginia’s biggest population centers will be upcoming locations of public hearings for the PEIA Task Force.

Morgantown, Martinsburg, and Charleston are the next stops for the public outreach subcommittee of the PEIA Task Force.

Members of the task force will visit the WVU Erickson Alumni Center at 6:30 p.m. today.

A public hearing will be at Spring Mills High School at 11 a.m. Saturday.

And the final public hearing will be at the State Culture Center at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

These meetings are part of 21 public outreach meetings being held across the state, with the goal of allowing West Virginians to voice their experiences with the Public Employees Insurance Agency and suggest ways to improve it.

The public outreach subcommittee will relay the feedback received at these meetings to the larger task force, which Gov. Jim Justice established to find a long-term solution to the issues facing PEIA.

Those who wish to submit feedback online maycan do so at peiataskforce.wv.gov. Meetings are also streamed and archived at that site.
